Since last week, a friend of mine was complaining of irregular of his heart beat and he suspected of coronary disease . He is 51 years old and a heavy smoker and yet love seafood. He went for a ECG test and the doctor asked him to go to see heart specialist for further check up as the result shown some irregular heart beat but unclear of the actual cause. He went to a specialist centre on Saturday night but unfortunately the specialist was not around, so have to come back the next morning.
The next day afternoon, I received a call from my friend and was informed that he had admitted to hospital due to heart artery blockage. I was shocked as i thought that this morning check up was not that serious. He had undergone coronary angiogram and the result was not that good. There are a number of coronary arteries been diagnosed to have some blockage. If I am not mistaken, his right coronary artery is 100% blocked, the left main coronary artery is 70% blocked, the left anterior descending coronary artery is 30% blocked and the left circumflex coronary artery is 20% blocked. A balloon angioplasty was performed on the 70% blockage left main coronory artery.
Who are the people at high risk for developing coronary disease are those cigarette smokers, those with genetic risk, high cholesterol levels, hypertension or diabetes. So friends watch out on your food intake and drink more water if you are on medication.

Live is precious..as we move on with our age, we will find that the challenges that we have is going to be more demanding.
Yearly check up for our age is needed and help to avoid such complication through early detection.
Relax and spend some for body rejuvenation...excercise and care for your body.
