Some Happenings

Finally it's weekend and i have been looking forward to it since Monday. Normally i would not so anxious to it but only this week as i had my 3rd quarter budget review meeting on midweek which i hate to do it...Well, this is my first quarterly meeting since i joined the company in August 2007. What had i achieve?? I was asking myself the week before and i dig my files and realised that nothing much had been achieved so far which my ex-colleague set last year..It's been the 3rd quarter already and yet the figure was only achieved about 1/3 of the budget my ex-colleague was set last year. Oh, no....then what have to be done in the next quarter?? What? I don't know 2X......

The day before i have to rush a power point presentation slide of my client's tender committee meeting the next day... The power point slide was done satisfactory but on the actual presentation which i went together with my GM was not smooth. My GM did the presentation and we have been 'shooted' by a councilor during the meeting on a condition which we included in as our point of recommendation. He pin pointed out that this condition supposed not be included in the first place as prevoiusly their intention of awarding the previous tender was very clear and not as otherwise......I was blurred and stunned of his accusation towards us. Of course i am not aware of the previous tender but to my surprise, my GM also don't know... :-(

He raised his voice and said that it's really not look good to us as their broker and consultant that we are unaware of it and saying that we have to admit our ignorant. Shy....Shy.....i was thinking at that moment......

At the end, we were asked to redo the recommendation and submit to them again in the early next month.....

I would sense that we were really look silly to them of that unawareness to the previous tender awarded condition. Anyway, I had to admit our ignorant as what the councilor mentioned just now.....

" Beat It....Beat It...Beat It........."

Don't worry. You must be happy that you are giving the chance to amend.

I also faced similar situation last week where my client commented on my report and asked me to look into certain matter.

The good thing is that we are giving another chance and the contract is not awarded to others.

The best thing about making a mistake is that we get to learn from it. Go Heroes! Go!
